Title Civil/Mechanical Resident Engineer
Job Description:
Responsibilities will include providing Resident Engineering/Deputy Construction Management support for the construction of water treatment facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, and related projects located within Orange County, CA. Reports to the Project Manager and may conduct or assist with pre-construction conferences, supervise and direct Resident Inspectors, conduct site meetings dealing with Contractor work progress, schedule, coordination, record drawing as well as problem exposure and resolution meetings. Coordinates issue resolution arising from the inspection process or from contract administration. May be responsible for planning and scheduling all or part of the onsite staff and staff that come to the site on an intermittent basis; schedules surveyors and testing laboratories as necessary, may negotiate and resolve Change Order Requests and Request For Quotes proposals on behalf of the Owner. Keeps all parties of the contract informed of clarifications and interpretations required for proper execution of the contract.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years resident engineering experience related to water/wastewater treatment and conveyance facilities or municipal and/or industrial facilities, or similar role.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Primavera Expedition (construction management) software.
Year for year experience in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
Drug Test and Background Check Required.

Preferred Qualifications:
15+ years of project experience preferred.
Infrastructure or industrial background (i.e. civil, mech, elec)
Understanding of Primavera Expedition Contract Manager or other document management software.
