Success and overall growth in CH2M HILL's Industrial Systems group has opened a position for a Client Service Manager in our Calgary, Alberta office. Relocation assistance is offered. Our Calgary office is one of CH2M HILL's largest in North America with more than 400 employees.
With this opportunity you will have the ability to focus on leading staff, growing current client relationships, generating and executing new business with clients in the air, environmental impact, wetlands, compliance, waste management, social license to operate, regulatory, wind energy and permitting fields. This position offers the opportunity to build your own team.
You will lead industrial client development while growing multi-media compliance projects and leading delivery teams. This senior position will allow you to provide leadership to the development and delivery of CH2M HILL's multi-media (air quality, siting and licensing, and regulatory compliance) consulting services to the industrial market sector, leveraging a proven track record in the interpretation of regulations affecting the industry and translating applicable requirements into strategic, cost-effective compliance approaches.
Responsibilities you will undertake with this position will include participating in client development discussions, contract negotiations, developing pricing strategies, and approving proposals and final pricing for submission to clients. You will also be involved with managing the delivery of projects involving permit strategy development, compliance assurance strategies, and design of associated work processes. You will also be expected to network within industry organizations, technical seminars and trade shows, including delivery of technical presentations. As well as, develop internal relationships to support the overall growth and success of CH2M HILL operations in Alberta, mentoring mid-level staff, supporting cross-business unit activities and stewarding client satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* Extensive experience with petrochemical, oil & gas, refining or chemical industries clients
* Bachelors degree (BS) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Planning, Environmental Management, Air Resources, Air Quality Environmental Technology or related degree is required.
* 15 years multimedia experience – air quality, water quality, hazardous waste, industrial siting & licensing for heavy industrial clients
* Proficient with environmental modeling
* 5 years demonstrated experience in a leadership function or managing teams
* Demonstrated industrial client marketing and client service management experience
* Experience generating and executing projects in Canada, ideally Alberta
* Familiarity with Environmental Assessments, and Canadian Environmental multi-media regulatory programs (CEAA)
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to travel 30% to client sites within Alberta
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Graduate degree or PhD is preferred but not required
* Prior experience as a Planner, Environmental Scientist, Consultant or Business Development Manager with an engineering consulting firm is preferred
