CH2M HILL's continual growth and expansion has created a career opportunity for an EHS compliance strategist in our Philadelphia , PA office. The potential candidate will have 10 or more years experience in leading industrial client development while growing multi-media compliance projects and leading project teams. This senior position will have proven client service manager skills, provide leadership to the development and delivery of CH2M HILL's multi-media (air quality, water/wastewater and waste management) consulting services to the industrial market, leveraging a proven track record in the interpretation of regulations affecting the industry and translating applicable requirements into strategic, cost-effective compliance approaches.

This strategist will become a core part of CH2M HILL's EHS services team, with a focus on growing clients through quality delivery. The ability to build strong client relationships is crucial. This individual will have demonstrated experience in leading teams of multi-media regulatory and technical specialists to develop sustainable compliance strategies with clients, ensure consistency between media strategies and across sites, and provide leadership to EHS site resources.

The primary goal for this position will be to generate and execute new business with selected clients in the chemical, power, petrochemical, refining, mining, and/or pharmaceutical sectors, servicing projects located in Northeast Corridor, throughout North America , and globally as-needed. Responsibilities for this position will include participating in client development discussions, developing pricing strategies, and approving proposals and final pricing for submission to clients. The position will also involve managing the delivery of projects involving permit strategy development, compliance assurance strategies, and design of associated work processes. This person should be able to demonstrate their history of expanding work areas with existing clients and growing new, productive relationships. The successful individual will also be expected to network within industry organizations, technical seminars and trade shows, including delivery of technical presentations.

This position will also include developing internal relationships to support the overall growth and success of CH2M HILL Industrial Services
Business Group:, mentoring mid-level staff, supporting cross-business unit activities and stewarding client satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or Environmental Sciences including, but not limited to, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.
10 years of experience

Primary Skills: The candidate must have demonstrated consulting project execution success on multi-media permitting, and compliance assurance for industrial clients in the chemical, petrochemical oil& gas refining, mining and/or pharmaceutical, industries. Services supported include air quality, water, wastewater, and/or waste permitting and compliance. Building strong client relationships as the basis for performance based business relationships is crucial. The candidate should be able to demonstrate their history of expanding work areas with existing clients and growing new, productive relationships. Business development experience is required. On procurements, it is critical that the candidate be able to: · Develop winning strategies through definition of client needs and expectations · Understand geographic and service sector standard of practices · Have strong writing skills both for persuasive writing and scope of work that provides a solid basis for performance and change management · Present well in both positioning and interview presentations Business development activities that this candidate would lead include: · Leading technical staff in the development of business development skills · Preparation of marketing material · Development of cold calling techniques and approaches This position will require strong leadership and communication skills to build the internal and external relationships required to rapidly grow our business. The position requires the ability to lead staff with a broad range of skills, including senior individuals who have been practicing in the field for 10 plus years.

Preferred Qualifications:
MS in Engineering or Environmental Sciences including, but not limited to, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. 15 years of experience

Primary Skills: Business management experience from a consulting firms is a plus. In addition to group leadership and business development skills, the ability to coordinate multiple staff skills and projects requirements to support client needs, is a plus.
