Title Instrumentation Engineer


Job Description:

CH2M HILL is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm as an Instrumentation Engineer in our Bellingham, WA office. This position will engineer instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas refinery projects.



Key Duties:
• Instrumentation and control systems engineering including develop P&ID's, control philosophy and alarm/shutdown and safety systems; develop engineering scope of work, man-hour budgets, and cost estimates; field instrumentation selection, sizing calculations and prepare data sheets.
• Senior level engineers will lead and direct the engineering and production of design drawing packages; perform quality checks and verification of compliance to standards for all documents issued for construction; prepare material requisitions and approval of bid tabulations; and perform field checkout, construction support and start-up assistance.

Basic Qualifications:
• B.S. in Electrical, Chemical or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience in oil & gas production, refineries, petrochemicals or other industries.
• Experience must include the ability to execute small to medium sized projects from conception to start-up.
• Must have knowledge and application of instrumentation related Standards, Codes and Regulations and a basic understanding of project control techniques, budgeting, scheduling and tracking is required.
