Job Description:
Our Santa Ana, CA office is seeking a Transportation a Project Manager with 12 or more years of experience to manage a range and complexity of roadway and highway design projects and lead/manage project teams supported by technical task leaders. Specific responsibilities include leadership in the application of CH2M HILLs Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: health, safety, environmental responsibility; client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget; financial performance for project specific targets; project team expectations; operational performance and business unit expectations; and quality. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for the identification of schedule and cost variances and the development and implementation of recommendations for corrective action for negative variances and growing the Project Management resources of the firm through coaching of Associate Project Managers and task managers. As a Project Manager, you will be asked to participate in business development activities to support growth in the transportation

This position has a focus towards transportation infrastructure planning and/or design, requiring conceptual level planning and knowledge of environmental planning for highway, bridge, and transit related projects. Knowledge of local area transportation community including owners, special authorities, key stakeholders, and short and long-range transportation improvement plans is preferred. Experience with corridor planning, NEPA/CEQA, and resource agency processes is preferr ed. Experience or knowledge with AutoCAD, Microstation, and Inroads preferred, as are e xcellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis technical problem solving, organizational skills, multitasking ability and MS Office Suite computer skills.

Basic Qualifications:
Professional Engineering registration (PE), or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire, and a BS or MS degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline and a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in highway design projects is required.
Familiarity with MicroSoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, Microstation, and Inroads design software and knowledge of state-of-the-art highway design technologies required.
Degree Required: BA/BS
Certification Required: P.E. in CA
Travel Requirement: % Up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 15 or more years experience in roadway planning and design projects, along with a BS (prefer an MS) degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute or as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Management Association of America (or approved equivalents) is highly desired, but not required.
