Title Water Resources Project Manager


Job Description:

Our Sacramento office has an opportunity for a Water Resources Project Manager! This position will work with existing water resources staff to support our existing and future work primarily in the flood management/water resources planning markets. Project work could include managing planning, pre-design, and design efforts in the following areas: watershed management, flood control, water supply, water resources planning, and other water related areas.  The selected candidates will also be expected to lead or participate in business development activities.

Specific responsibilities include leadership in the application of CH2M HILLs Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: health, safety, environmental responsibility; client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget; financial performance for project specific targets; project team expectations; operational performance and business unit expectations; and quality. Specific duties include planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff.

The selected candidate must have the ability to coordinate work with client, project manager, and project teams, and may be responsible for budgets and scope for assigned task.  An understanding of water resources issues relating to water supply, water quality, and flood control is required. Excellent communication, computer and proposal writing skills are essential. The ability to work with clients and client service managers to help procure projects is necessary.

Travel to client and CH2M HILL offices is expected to be about 10%.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering is required. California PE is required. A minimum of 8 years applicable experience required.

Certification Required: CA PE

Travel Requirement: % 10%


Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, along with 9-14 years of experience.
